Identify your system

MistAway Systems manufactures two types of systems, the 55-gallon tank systems and the Tankless systems.



If your system is not labeled or has a label other than MistAway Systems or Town and Country Mosquito Mistaway System it is not a MistAway brand system.

Gen 1.3 — Manufactured between 2007 and present. The Control box and motor are enclosed in a black waterproof case mounted on top of the system lid.

Gen 1.2 — Manufactured between 2006 and 2007. The Control box is tan with non-see through lid and black face plate.  It is mounted at an angle on the top of the  tank lid. Motor is not enclosed.

EFA — Manufactured between 2004 and 2005. The control box has a clear see-through lid and the box is mounted either standing straight up or lying down on the tank lid. The control panel is digital and may have a dark green, light green, or blue face plate.

PCO — Manufactured before 2004. The control panel is in a grey box with a gray lid and is mounted flat on the top of the tank lid. The controller is analog and not digital. Label may read Town and Country Mosquito Mistaway Systems



Gen III or III+ — Gen III was manufactured between 2007 and 2010 and the Gen III+ from 2010 to present. Both systems are identical. In order to determine if your system is a Gen III or Gen III+ you must reboot your system to view the software version.  To reboot your system unplug the unit, wait a few seconds and then plug it back in. Observe the display. You will first see the word Mist, then Away, then the version of your system will be display either Gen3 or Gen3P.

Gen II — Manufactured between 2006 and 2007. The insecticide cartridge/bottle snaps into the coupler in the front right corner of the unit.
